When should my child see a dentist for the first time?
We recommend that parents schedule their child’s first dental appointment when the first tooth erupts or before they reach the age of one. We promise this isn’t too early! This initial appointment will focus more on getting to know you and your child, as well as introducing and exposing them to our team and the environment around them. This helps to ease and adjust them to the idea of routine dental care. As they grow older, we will see them every six months and perform gentle examinations and cleanings to avoid decay and gum disease.
Do you see special needs children?
Absolutely! Dr. Cory and our team are well-equipped and trained to care for special needs patients. No matter the type of physical, behavioral, mental, or developmental condition, we work closely with parents to develop optimal accommodations that promote a friendly, compassionate, and gentle experience. We also encourage parents to bring items from home that might help their children feel more comfortable during their appointment. Likewise, let us know beforehand if there’s anything else we should keep in mind.
My child experienced a dental emergency. What should I do?
You should first call our office and let us know what happened. We’ll work quickly to get your child in for an appointment as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we will offer first aid tips you can use at home to help manage their pain and avoid further damage to their smile. Once they arrive at our office, we will begin to examine the issue and formulate a treatment plan to address the problem.
Are traditional braces my only option as an adult?
Although traditional braces are proven safe and effective for patients of all ages, they can be a deterrent for anyone looking to keep their orthodontic treatment subtle. Fortunately, with clear aligners, adults can feel more at ease undergoing treatment without compromising their daily appearances. At our office, we’re excited to offer Invisalign clear aligners alongside traditional braces; we’ll work with you to determine which path is best for your child!
What makes Invisalign the preferred choice for older teens and adults?
Invisalign is usually a more desirable option because of its flexibility, not to mention the aligners are clear and nearly invisible while being worn. Plus, the trays are removable, which makes eating and drinking easier. They also make oral hygiene easier to perform, which is an added bonus for young patients. With Invisalign, both teens and adults can feel more confident and comfortable, making for a more enjoyable experience.
Will you accept my dental insurance?
We are in-network with many different dental insurance companies, and our team will be happy to review your plan and determine the best way to save. Even if your provider is not listed on our site, we are still happy to help; we can file any claims and paperwork on your behalf while also working to make sure you get the most out of your plan’s benefits.
